You could use the TeX command?:

\\pageno=0\

or

\pageno=0%

dependent of the place you use it

I'm not at all familiar with that command. It appears to be a LaTeX command.
LaTeX and MusiXTeX coexist only grudgingly. Did you have a file that
compiled before you tried using this command?

If no one else replies with any useful suggestions, I suggest you create a
short sample file that exhibits the error and repost your query.

I am having some trouble using the \setcounter{page}{n} command in
musixtex. Has anyone came across the same difficulty? Basically I have
written some scores which will be pasted within some other text
document and I need to set the score page counter to an offset larger
than 1.
