Both the MiKTeX and Ghostscript distributions contains a ps2pdf.bat file. I
have both packages installed. If I type ps2pdf -h it seems that of MiKTeX is
called.
What will happen if I don't have Ghostscript installed? Does the MiKTeX
distribution need Ghostscript for the ps2pdf job, for the fonts or the like?
