Very interesting! Some times ago, for linux users, there was Noteedit (http://sourceforge.net/projects/noteedit.berlios/), that was able to input MusicXML file and export it in PMX. Unluckily now the software is abandoned. There is a frozen version, but impossible to install on the recent distributions.
