GitHub also provides an automatic way to download .zip or .tar.gz files of 
releases: https://github.com/dlaurie/M-Tx/releases (which also includes the 
LICENCE file missing in your Makefile), though this will also include the new 
doc directory you added.

You can also get an archive for un-tagged commits not shown on the releases 
page, for example, 
http://github.com/dlaurie/M-Tx/archive/84318a3533516c6af0f7630268c6f8c41da5edf3.zip
 (or even http://github.com/dlaurie/M-Tx/archive/8431.zip!)
