Rodolpho: I don't suppose anyone will volunteer to re-write
hundreds of lines of musixtex code to achieve that
perfection on a feature that apparently should not have been
in the manual in the first place. In fact PMX and virtually
all musixtex users have adopted musixps slurs so there's
really very little incentive.

If you insist on font-based slurs and insist on \ibslur,
you can adjust the height of the \tslur:
