The weather forecast thru Wednesday shows a chance of thunderstorms.

I am planning to have indoor activities in case of rain. A caver
has volunteered
to bring the latest cave related movie on DVD - "Descent 2." We
should have some popcorn to go with that.

I will have several cots, and the lodge can sleep about 30 people if necessary.

So unless it is just pouring down raining on Friday night, I will be
there setting
up stuff.

The temperatures forecasted thru Wednesday for Brenham
are pleasant for camping.

If you don't mind sharing a tent with other cavers,
I will have an 8 man tent available for use.

The camp has an indoor kitchen, and a covered patio for cooking.

The only snag remaining, is that the camp manager is rewriting the liability
form and I haven't seen the final version yet. He said they were
just minor changes.
At this time, he no longer seems concerned about requiring me to
purchase special event
insurance. I have only me the camp manager once for a few minutes, and he
most reminded me of Carl Ponebshek.

With the Cookout being less than a week away, I can only say at this time that
the food will be edible, but there will be plenty of it, especially if
you like canned
beans.

I would like to thank an anonymous caver for donating some money this week to
help me iron out some of the final bugs, and to all the grottos that
put the event
on their grotto calendar.

host of the Cookout
