I'm familiar with the place Nancy's describing. At the end of the Grand Finale passage the floor drops over several abandoned travertine dams into a seasonal pool. I think it's more like 6-8 feet around. Then the passage drops again through a few squeezy areas then heads back under the area with the seasonal pool. After a few more turns weaving your way through formations and 6"-8" air spaces you finally arrive at the "low air" space that leads back into the main passage near yo-mama.
According to the survey data the end of the grand finale passage is almost 17 feet higher than the nearby main passage of the cave. Again according to the survey the passage does not actually loop underneath itself, but it sure feels like to does.
