It kicks ass. So far it beats the pants off my Treo 650. I was one of only a handfull of Cingular customers In line, the rest complained about their service providors and were switchng. I also noticed everybody on line was already a high end cell fons user, many blacberris and treks were there, no cheap fines.

The iphone is Slick. $700 sllick? I'm still trying to determine that. So far it better than lugging a laptop around. Wi-fi in my house (and anywhere it finds it- very cool), real web browser, email.

And I can get, read and respond to your "200 word essays on my fone".

I love how if I tap on an address,in my contacts, it brings up Google maps and shows me a route to get there!

Anybody want to give us an iPhone review?

I hate doing business with Cingular Wireless and now that they are
AT&T, I wonder
if things will improve or get worse.

The whole cell phone industry seems like a racket to me. And I am
concerned the way cell-phones have impacted our culture, expecially
kids with cell-phones.

One of the interesting features on the iPhone is that it saves
voice-mail messages
in a folder and you can click on each individual message. I need that on my
next phone.

I have been using a smart-phone for at least a year now. Mine is the little
one in the photo below:

It does some of the things that the iPhone does. I bet my Nokia is
much better
at sending text messages, as the Nokia has a large easy to use
keyboard. However, I could not find anybody that wanted to receive
a 200 word essay on their
cell-phone.

I bought it because it was supposed to send text messages to a paper
fax machine, which it was designed to do. However, I couldn't find
a phone company that supported the feature. They waited till after
selling me the phone to tell me that. The technical support
provided by Nokia and Cingular wireless was pathetic for this phone,
and they quickly discontinued it. I still love it though, and
considered it a good investment for the mobile nature of my business.

If you do get a smart-phone, make sure it has some feature to place
post-it notes
on the screen. These little yellow reminders come in handy.
And the "Things
to Do List," needs to be very user friendly.

Maybe Sony should add cell-phone capabilites to its Portable
PlayStation ( PPS )?
An iPhone, will never be able to play games or watch movies like that.

I hope I live long enough to see a cell-phone with an altimeter, barometer, and temperature gauge, and compass, a satelite TV/radio, heart-rate monitor, LED
light, tooth-pick, tweezers, bottle-opener. It would have a
Swiss-army label and the word Sunntos on it somewhere. In the
mean-time, I will just duct-tape
a Sunntos watch to the back of it and a small utility knife to the side.
