No apps...geez lol I have a Verizon 6700...$150 on Ebay...its got Windows Mobile....camera...wifi....keyboard....1000s of apps, and most importantly the ability to put Skype Mobile on it which we use in any Wifi network to make cell network free phone calls to anywhere in the U.S./Canada for $30 for the year. Pull in a Wendy's connect to the wifi...tap Skype and call anywhere in the world crystal clear. Calls are better quality than normal cell calls. I used an Iphone today...the owner was only semi impressed and once he realizes its major limitations as far as apps go it will be a goner.
Sprint/Nextel----The end of 2007 they launch their WiMax network in 3 cities.....it will be a true technology disruptor once it is fully available. Mark On 7/2/07, Don Arburn <[email protected]> wrote:
As for wear and tear, it is iPod-like. There are cases, but they add bulk. I like mine slim and pocketable. My Treo went for years w/o a case. There IS a slight downside to my unit, I can't add apps or ringtones. They are "built in". I expect them to get added in upcoming versions. I hope. I might buy one through Apple's web store, but there's a 2-3 week delivery time. But I'd rather hold one in my hand before making a commitment. What I'm wondering is how much abuse the thing can take without getting all uglied up. Can it be treated like a regular cell phone you just stuff in your pocket, or is something you should treat with more care? Right now I have a Samsung A900. It's all scratched up (has "character"), since I shove it in my pocket, but it's a flip-phone, so the main screen is protected. I don't care for my current provider (Sprint), but the cell phone itself is small, slim, and can take good deal of abuse. I'd like an iPhone, but I'm just not sure I'd take proper care of it.
