Did TCR pay Bill for the domain purchase costs and his webhosting fees? I know he is out $8 a month on the hosting, and he is going to check on the domain purchase costs. If that is taken care of, I'll be happy.

If anything comes up in the future, I will certainly let you know. I am certainly looking forward to my first TCR this year.

Hi Charles,

I wish I could pay you for your time but that won't happen. TCR will pay server cost, domain registrations, etc. It isn't much but those little things do add up if they come out of your own pocket. TCR will be happy to keep paying those costs.

Donating the proceeds is a great idea. Any of those organization can certainly find a use for the money.

I wish you the best of luck with this and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Allan

Hello Allan, no, that is news to me about the expenses. I don't anticipate any costs (all of my costs are already there), just my time. What I would like to do is add search functionality to the website for the archive of the list, and add a google ads setup to it (bottom of the pages and it will be small) Any extra proceeds could be donated to TCMA, TSS, TSA, etc. At least that is what I had in mind.

Thoughts or ideas?

Hi Charles,

I don't think we've met. I am the organizer of the Texas Cavers Reunion. Last year at TCR, it was decided that TCR would financially support the mailing list. If you have any expenses related to the servers, etc. let me know and TCR will reimburse you.

Thanks for taking on the list,
Allan

Folks, I've talked to Bill and offered to take over the mailing list.
What this won't do, change anything. What this will do, take the load off of Bill and keep things running as smoothly as he has so far. This should be a seamless transition and more details will be posted later.
Anyone that has questions, feel free to email me off-list.

Thanks
Charles

Looking for new owner/manager:
I am having to relinquish the operation.... I would like to find some one (hopefully a fool with exceptionally thick skin and good internet brain power) to take over ownership and manage the texascavers mailing list. It varies on the time consumption as problems seems to run in spurts. For the most part it is working fairly well at the moment.
I will help as much as I know how to get you going.
Once transferred you can change, move, enhance, delegate or whatever you feel like doing except shut down the mailing list.
Contact me if interested...
