Hi all.

I've worked on preparing trac-hacks.org for the upgrade to Trac 0.11. A
preview of the result is now available:

http://trac-hacks.org:81/

The preview is running on a database snapshot of t-h.o that's about two
days old. However, it's attached to the "live" Subversion repository, so
all newer repository activity will be visible there, too.

Feel free to play with the wiki, tickets and stuff, but be aware that all
these modifications will be lost as soon as I resync the preview. Please
give it a test and let me know about all rough edges you find. Feedback /
criticism / suggestions welcome.

I know of the following issues so far:

 1. The [[Poll()]] macro produces an error message in the example on [1],
appears to be a bug in the macro itself.

 2. The [[ListTypes]] macro no longer exists. It was used on [2], for
example, to provide a list of available hacks, plugins etc. This seems to
be intentional, see next point.

 3. The new version of the TracHacks plugin offers new functionality at
[3], such as searching for hacks. However, it seems I'm a bit dumb or
something, the behaviour of that stuff appears a bit strange to me. For
example I don't get the idea of "More", "Less", "Default" and friends,
the results of (de)selection Trac versions are different from what I'd
expect, and so on.

 4. On Trac 0.10, we used to have a Download macro, which is not available
in a 0.11-compatible version. It needs to be investigated whether this
was used anywhere - is it still required (then we need to port it) or
not?

 5. On Trac 0.10, we used to have a Ref macro, which allowed to reference
section headers in the current page. I couldn't find a 0.11-compatible
version yet. It needs to be investigated if it's still used, and if we
either need to port it, replace it with something else or drop it.

 6. The [[TagIt]] macro is heavily used (on many user pages, for example),
but no longer available on 0.11. The cases where it's been used by now
need to be adjusted appropriately.

 7. The [[ListTagged]] macro does not produce any output for anonymous
users. No idea why this happens, needs further investigation.

 8. [mailto:...] links are not shown to anonymous users, since they lack
the EMAIL_VIEW permission. This is fine, especially for tickets. On the
other hand some users have given contact details including their e-mail
address on their personal wiki page, which now is no longer visible for
anonymous users. I wonder how we best deal with such cases...

If you come across other issues, please let me know.

Happy testing!

Bye, Mike
