Q1         Which Indian brands do foreigners use in their country?

A1          Kiran Pandiyan January16-2021-Former Application Development
Analyst at Accenture (company)(2015–2018)

I am currently living in Parisand these are the brand that I sawFrench people
using.

Amul — Amul products are available worldwide and wherever Indians arethere.
Their Ghee, Paneer and other products are quite popular. Many foreignerslike
Paneer and Amul being the go to brand is loved by many

Royal Enfield — I was surprised to see many Royal Enfield bikesavailable here
in France, there are lot of bikes here and biking community someof whom use
Royal Enfield though I'm not sure if it's use by Indians or nativeFrench

Zoho — I was surprised to see that Paris metro(RATP) uses Zohosuite when I was
applying for one of their jobs which display theresponsibilities of me working
on Zoho suits. I also saw some comments in avideo about Salesforce where a
commentor described that he loves Zoho and it'sprovides same quality of service
for a fraction of cost.

Amrut Whiskey — Amrut is a award winning whiskey and due to itsfame from that
it's available in international markets. I saw couple of Amrutbottles in
expensive liquor stores here.

Q2         What did Egypt and Mesopotamia society have in common?

A2          Moataz El Shafie26-3-2021MBA in Finance & Economics, Victoria
College, Alexandria

The first writing system wereestablished around the same time. They were both
sedentary agricultural societies.

They both said to be descendedfrom the Natufians culture of the Fertile
Crescent, both were polytheist/monotheistic with established
institutionalizedreligion rather then animists which was typical in different
part of the worldat that time and the spoke with similar Afroasiatic/Semitic
tongue.

Q3         Is it true that women should not touch Shivling, especiallyunmarried
women, because Shivling is represented as a male reproductive organ?

A3          Anshika Singh Chauhan22-3-2021·Student at Nirmal Higher Secondary
School

Who the hell told you that Shivling is a male organ? Some fools justspread lies
about Hinduism to prove it bad. Shivlingam is not a male reproductive organ, it
has a deep scientifictheory. The word Shivlingam has came from Sanskrit word,
Shiva( Lord),Lingam(mark). So Shivlingam means Mark of Lord Shiva.

Everything in this world arises from a dome/ball/pindi, whether it istree,
which arises from a round seed, or a child from round zygote. Everything in
this world isround, be it any planet, or the most minute cells. Everything
being round, symbolizes the Mark of Shiva. Since we can't comprehend Shiva,
Becausehe is beyond this universe, so we worship his mark Shivling.

So, there is nothing like that unmarried women can't touch Shivlingam, infact
many women keep fast for 16Mondays to get a husband like Shiva.I hope your
doubt is cleared now

Q4         What is the most clever life hack you've learned?

A4          Francis Ndungu 24-3-2021Founder at Franktek Microsystems
(2016–present)

I would like to contribute my most clever life hacks that I have learnedover
the years. I am going to make contributions only for the things I havetested
myself

1: Buy a security light timer:Switching your security lights onand off at home
can be a daunting task and in some cases, you may even forget.

To overcome this challenge, invest in a cost-friendly timer that goes foraround
$20. I bought it for my upcountry home and whether I am home or not, it
surelyswitches on the security lights at 6:45 PM and turns them off in the
morning ataround 6:15 AM.

2: Buy a toothpaste dispenser. If you want a perfect way oforganizing your
toothbrushes and toothpaste, you should invest in aninexpensive dispenser. Here
is a photo showing mine with 4 toothbrushes 1 formy wife and 2 more for my
daughters. I bought this dispenser for around $10. Itjust needs regular
cleaning, especially when changing the toothpaste.

My note- In Chennai Quality PVC/vinyl boxes are available where tooth
brushes, tongue cleaners, shavingsoap and shaving sets, cups, soap box etc can
be kept with provision to putsmall towel, at about 2500-00. Front side we can
open, and a mirror is providedto see face.

3: Buy a Hybrid solar inverter. If you don’t want to experienceblackouts in your
home, invest in a hybrid solar inverter. This device chargesa battery (e.g. a
200 AH battery) using the mains electricity.

In case there is a blackout, the device will power your home for somehours. In
my case, I bought a 1KVA hybrid inverter and a 200AH battery atapproximately
$600($300 each), these two ensure that I can watch my favorite TVshows and work
on my computer even when the mains electricity is not there(butI haven’t
connected the power backup to my shower or electric kettle sincethese two run
at around 2.2KW and 3KW respectfully). Later, I will add two solarpanels to
reduce my bills. If money is not a problem, there are 3KVA, 5KVA, and10KVA
hybrid inverters that you can buy plus you need to add more batteries andsome
solar panels. Solar panels are optional in all cases.

4. Open a free OneDrive account:You might have heard about cloudcomputing but
probably you don’t know how it can benefit you when it comes tosafeguarding
your important files.

If you’re running Windows 10 likeme, sign up with the inbuilt OneDrive feature
on your computer and sync yourfiles to the cloud. In case of fire, hurricane,
flooding, or theft, you’ll just buy another computer, enter yourOneDrive login
details and you get all your files back.

To always sync the importantfiles, make sure to save them into the OneDrive
folder.

Another cool hack about OneDrive is the ability to sync files on twodifferent
computers. In my case, I work with two different computers 50KM awayfrom each
other and OneDrive ensures that these computers are in sync. This listwill grow
with time.

Q6         If Satyavati had already a child 'Vyas' with Rishi Parasara, then why
did she marry King Shantanu and wanted her sons with Shantanu to bethe next
kings of Hastinapur instead of Bhishma?

A6          Bhanu Kiran 22-3-2021Exploringancient texts of Sanatana Dharma

Q1. Why Satyavati wanted to marry King Shantanu?

It was King Shantanu who desiredSatyavati. Desiring to have Satyavati as his
wife, Shantanuwent to Satyavati’s father to ask her.

Q2. Why Satyavati wanted her sons with Shantanu to be the next kings
ofHastinapur and not Bhishma?

This condition was put bySatyavati’s father to Shantanu. Satyavati never put
any conditions to marry Shantanu. It was her father’s condition.

Having seen her beauty and sweetness, equal to that of a goddess, andinhaled
her fragrance, King Shantanu desired the lady from the fishermen tribe. He went
to her father andasked him to give her to him. The king of the fishermen told
the king, “Fromthe day she was born, I have known that I will have to give my
beautifuldaughter to someone. O lord of men! However, there was a desire in my
heart andlet me tell you that now. O unblemished one! If you desire to take her
as yourwife in accordance with dharma, you must truthfully make a pledge to
me,because I know that you aretrue to your word. O king! If you make that
pledge, I will give mydaughter to you, because I will never be able to find a
husband for her who islike you.” Shantanu replied, “O fisherman! It is only
after hearing what youask for, that I can say whether I can or cannot. If it is
something that can begranted, I will do so, but not otherwise.” The fisherman
replied, “O lord ofthe earth! The son who will be born from her will be
instated king of the earthafter you and no one else.” O descendant of the
Bharata lineage! Though hisbody burnt with the sharp pains of desire, Shantanu
was unwilling to grant thisboon to the fisherman. The lord of the earth
returned to Hastinapura, thinkingabout the daughter of the fisherman and with
his heart burdened by sorrow.

Q7         Could we “put out” / extinguish a volcano?

A7          4 Answers

1            Rene De Hon, formerFormer Professor of Geology (Retired) at Texas
State University (2015-2021) Answered26-3-2021

The short answer is “No. We cannot extinguish a volcano.”

The rock melt supplying the thermal energy is hundreds of cubickilometers. The
St. Helens eruption in 1980 is calculated to release 24megatons of thermal
energy. That is more than 1000 times larger than the atomicbomb dropped on
Hiroshima. And St. Helens was far from a big eruption.

Some small successes have been accomplished at diverting lava flows byplacing
earthen barriers in theflow path.

In Iceland a flow was stopped by spraying large quantities of water onthe flow
and cooling it.

2ND ANSWER JamesAlexander-Rodriguez, War vet, formerairline + IT tech, starving
writer.26-3-2021

Unlikely. The force needed to achieve the explosion of a supervolcano
isestimated to be the equivalent of 100,000 Hiroshima nuclear bombs.

Mount St. Helen’s volcano eruption in the State of Washington released
24megatons of thermal energy, 7 of which were a direct result of the blast.
This is equivalent to 1,600 times thesize of the atomic bomb dropped on
Hiroshima"

A nuclear explosion would cause shock waves, tsunamis, not to mentionpoison the
air and the ground, wipe out wildlife and kill sicken and killhumans with
fallout radiation.

3RD ANSWER RB Nerf,Retired physicist and amateur AppleDeveloper-26-3-2021

If you’ve ever attempted to keep water from coming into a basement, orinto a
floating boat, by adding sealant across the leak, you’ll get anexperience that
will teach you the answer to your question.

4TH ANSWER- NiallRobertson, Amateur Actor.

Probably only make it even more destructive. Just getting near the thingwould
be suicide as well.

Q8         What is "vibhuti" made from, that the South Indiansapply on their
forehead?

A8          Keerthi Yash May 13,2020 Lives in India

Many religious practices wefollow have several health benefits hidden.

There is a practice here in South india where we keep a bunch of leavesoutside
our door step. We change this ever “pongal “ It is called “ KOORA PO”

It includes neem leaves, mango leaves, and kannu pillai flowes, neem isan
antibiotic, mango leaves can cure stomach disorders and kannu pillai cancure
kidney stones. So this is a first aid kit, that has a cover of culturalpractice.

There is a practice of givingthulasi/ thulasi water in srinivasan temples,
thulasi can cure Phlegm. And is an anti oxidant. That's why Hinduism suggests
everyhome has thulasi.

In shiva temple devotees areprovided with viboothi and vilvam as prasadam.
Vilvam can reduce the body temperature when boiled in water. Viboothimade from
cow dung when applied on you forehead absorbs fluid built up withinthe head,
due to sinus or other causes.

There is pepal tree in everyvinayakar temple and devoteescircle the tree three
times . This is because pepal tree breathes out moreoxygen than any other tree.

Addition info: since I am a “Maduraian”;)

Madurai Meenakshi kungumam isfound to have magnetic properties even after
several months of storage. It has profound effects when applied inforehead.

Every religion has certainpractices that indirectly benefits it's devotees, we
just have to look itthrough, rather than condemn them to be Wrong
outdatedbeliefs.

Q9         Which country on the world map has the strangest shape?

A9          Nicholas Stone March 13-2021Peer support for a London charity.
(2020–present)

I’d nominate Chile as the countrywith the weirdest shape.

The country is 4,270 km from north to south. But Chile is on average 177km wide
from east to west. In 2015, I had the pleasure of visiting Chile. In my
opinionthis is a beautiful country with mountain, deserts and coastline.

Superimposed on a map of Europe and the Middle East, Chile stretches from
London (UK) to Baghdad (Iraq).

My visit to Chile will always be associated with horse riding.

Q10       What is the one thing we should stay away from on a railwaystation?

A10        Subhasis Dutta RoyUpdatedOctober 1-2021

Working in Indian Railways at Indian Railways (2001–present)

Stay away from that yellow lineseen in the picture.

When train is running at full speed it creates vacuum type situationaround
itself due to its high speed. So to avoid any unwanted occurrence
Railwayadministration had drawn the yellow line besides the platform.Passengers
are requested to not cross the yellow line to ensure their safety. The vacuum
created by the high speed running train can pull the passengertowards the train
if he/she stands within this yellow line and can create anaccident.

Q11       What ancient structures on earth continue to bafflearchaeologists and
the scientific community due to their complexity, size, weight, age and
location, as well as the difficulty in explaining how humanswould have been
able to make them?

A11        JamesParnis 21-3-2020 Businessman (1987–present)

Here’s a modern example of this incredible mystery. The walls of this house
werecarved from solid rock to a tolerance that can only come from high
technologybought from the stars by aliens. The walls are perfectly
flat, completely level and are jointed so accurately that not a scrap of paper
can fit between them.Clearly, lasers were used.

Or maybe, you know, it’scast in place concrete that can be put together using
simple tools like shovelsand screeds.

Ancient Egyptians discoveredconcrete and built the pyramids out of it, casting
large blocks of it in-situ. They also perfected stone molding to
createtremendous artworks from molten materials.

Now, how they heated concrete andother materials is not yet fully understood,
but that is a physics question, and doesn’t require an extra  terrestrial
explanation, just some experimenting.

There is a very interesting documentary about this. I don’t agree withevery
conjecture, but it makes for thought provoking viewing:
