1 Birth of Muruga in Scriptures (Skanda Puranam)

When the Gods requested Shiva to rescue them from the harassment of the
demon Surapadman, Shiva opened his third eye and emitted six sparks of fire
that became six different children. Raised by six foster mothers, divine
mother Goddess Parvati embraced these six children, who merged to become a
single child with six heads and twelve hands known as Shanmugam, the
six-faced. Shanmugam (Murugan) is the incarnation of pure consciousness and
divine knowledge.

The six heads of Shanmugam (Murugan) represent his six attributes. They are.

   - Jnana (wisdom) SA
   - Vairagya (detachment) RA
   - Bala (strength) VA
   - Keerti (fame) NA
   - Shree (wealth) BHA
   - Aishwarya (divine powers) VA

2 Silappadikaram Kovalan met Madhavi in a dance show parting way
from Kannagi called INDRA VIZHA.

3 Buddha Poornima People who have embraced Buddhism in India prefer
to wear white clothes and avoid consuming non-vegetarian food. Instead,
they have ‘kheer’ as it is believed that a woman offered a bowl of milk to
Gautam Buddha. Usually, the day sees colourful processions by Buddhists
from the surrounding communities to the pagodas. People pour water at the
foot of the Bodhi Tree, give alms, and meditate.

Many devotees visit Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located
in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. Bodhi Temple is the
location where Lord Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment.

4 Pournami and astronomy and astrology and Hindu festivals are
cognizant of the light and Punya dates in Lunar poojas. Chitra pournami is
known; vaikashi visakam is in pournami; Ani Tirumanjanam is on Pournami;
Adi Pooram festival on this day; Avani Avoittam falls on this; Purattasi a
month for the vaishnavaites as well as festivals at Stri Rangam ,
Navaratri and Ma vilakku shall fall on this day; Ippasi Annabishakam for
Sivan would fall on this day; Karthikai pournami is famous for special
poojas to Murugan; Marghazhi Arudra dharsanam and chariots pulling in the
full moon light is famous; Thai , Masi, Panguni are special months where
the pournamis would cross the festivals at temples.
