Rajiv Malhotra debates were heard and would have heard by all the members I
do hope. Even after hearing such , leave me behind , still persistently
depending on a source without proper knowledge and verifications would
spread nauseating culture across the posterity, who are already reversely
questioning the ethics, which many bewildered to reply. Recensions and
basis of the recensions one shall verify and then incorporate. Or else sail
a safe zone. Where the this type of source recoding would not call for a
warning, but what is understandable level alone, then we regret for such
status.
Droupathi legality was never understood by the elders and the
Kouravas as here also. That is Indian standard not vedic standards. "In
trying to find an answer to the reason why Draupadi’s violation is so very
unsettling for the characters as well the readers, Hudson (2013)
arrives at the following conclusion: It is the presence of those elders,
kings and family members in the assembly hall who act
as passive witnesses to Draupadi’s abuse. The elders, who have studies the
sastras. . . are speechless in the face of what appears to be a gross
transgression of dharma. . . They fail her in one of their most important
dharmic duties as kings: protection” (p. 98-99)
In this regard, Mukhoty (2017) has also pointed out how Draupadi not only
challenges the rule of law of/by men, thereby shaking its very foundation,
but also threatens the male order by drawing up a parallel judicial system:
“If absolute acceptance of a husband’s opinion and beliefs was constituted
an ideal pativrata, then Draupadi was an altogether unusual one. Throughout
the. . . epic [after her humiliation in the court of the Kauravas], she
follows the dictates of her own sense of justice” (p. 15). Hudson also
posits that the silence of the elders in the assembly hall “calls into
question their ability to perceive dharma. This raises the question of
whether dharma can be perceived at all, an implicit anxiety that runs
through the text” (2013, p. 102, emphasis removed). Trapped as the elders
in the assembly hall are by their inability to answer Draupadi’s question,
and, by extension, “because of their inability to interpret dharma. . .
they [also] fail to act” (Hudson, 2013, p. 103, emphasis removed).
Hudson’s suggestions pave the way for further deliberations in the present
study. She further suggests that “dharma’s inscrutability paves the way for
what would seem to be one of dharma’s greatest transgressions, the abuse of
Draupadi. . . If this is the case, then the category of dharma itself is
implicated in Draupadi’s molestation and affliction” (103, emphasis
removed). One is inclined to think deeply whether this provides us with
some food for thought regarding the limitations of our legal and judicial
set up, both in the ancient times as well as in the modern world, about the
need to make law immune to both outside influence and internal fallibility? Das
(2009/2012) has rightly driven home the problem regarding the idea of
dharma as law, and the idea of a final/universal/supreme authority which
separates the lawful from the unlawful, the right from the wrong, the good
from the bad. He points out that: Draupadi’s insistent second question—‘What
is the dharma of the king?’—unsettles the assembly. . . [It] suggests that
she does not think that what is lawful is necessarily right. . . [that]
dharma must mean something other than what is customary. . . it also raises
the issue about who has the authority to decide about dharma” (p. 46) However,
for the semblance of order and for the sake of perpetuation of the human
race, man has
always felt the need to have a leader for every group/community/society. In
the ancient times, the king was considered to be the leader and his people
his subjects. Olivelle (2009) explains that in the Indian context, since
time immemorial, “the kingly power or ksatra is intimately connected with
dharma. . . [The king is] lord and upholder of dharma. . . within [the]
society. . . Dharma is. . . placed squarely within the public realm of law
and social norms that must be overseen by the king” (pp. 71-75) In the Maha
bharata, Draupadi is failed as a subject by the two kings she appeals to:
her husband and the chakravarti king Yudhisthira, and the Kaurava king Dhr
tarashtra in whose
court she stands demanding justice.
Bhima alone comes to her rescue disobeying the norms abetting the
Vow of Draupadi that she will not tie up her hair without the blood of
Duryodhana as oil, adding that he will split the thighs of Duryodhana. Not
because she was insulted; because the vow arose as Duryodana a son like to
Draupadi -she being a mother of the elder brother- tapped his thigh and
invited her to seat there. In the 18th day war, Bhima was struggling to
beat Duryodhana having forgotten the vow he made, Krishna reminded him, to
tear off the thighs which is weak as Gandhari could not use her power there
, as duryodhana was clad in that spot, by peeling a straw across and throw
away as cross.
2 Lord Krishna avatram was not to avoid the war but invite a war to
establish the Dharma which is seen in the line Dharnakshetre kurukkshetre.
3 Q7 is Non-understandabble. Human one specie and animals many?. And
migration from Africa?. Yesterday news was that more than one lakh year old
skeleton in North china with the Chinese markings. The guess work is or
believed to be etc words used migration, is 3 million years ago. However
the latest evidence of skull in North Africa is 50000 year old only. Then
migration from africa a guess work is not yet an authentic history.
Animals co existed with the human and specie is a greek term; "*“Species
diversity is defined as the number of different species present in an
ecosystem and relative abundance of each of those species.” Wheer there is
unavailability of accurate data it is better to believe data available at
home, KR IRs 4721*
