Q1         Why areAA batteries generally always paired? Why not make a single
battery with doublethe power?

A1         Kenzi Mudge Seniorengineer for battery-powered medical devices
Updated March 26, 2020

AA batteries are based on an old chemical combination known ascarbon-zinc. This
chemicalreaction produces 1.5 volts. A newer chemistry, alkaline batteries, also
produces 1.5 volts.

This chemistry was just enough for early electronics - flashlights,
simpleradios and clocks. And from that history, the battery sizing standards
wereborn. This made batteryproduction so cheap that everyone adopted it, and
it’s relativelyexpensive to try to introduce a new higher-voltage standard.

And then came the silicon transistor. This needs 0.7V to turn on atall, and
that doesn’t leave very much headroom. And now it’s used in nearlyevery
electronic device.

So we needed higher voltage batteries and, we did make them. Sometimesby making
2-cell packs, and sometimes by finding other chemistries thatproduced a higher
voltage. Still, it’s hard to beat the production cost of apair of AA batteries.

My note- Wehave 1.5 v cells in different sizes.

Rose gold is an alloy made from a combination of pure gold and copper. The blend
of the two metals changes the color of the final product and itskarat. For
example, the most common alloy of rose gold is 75 percent pure goldto 25
percent copper, which makes 18k rose gold.

Q4         Whathappened to Radha after Krishna moved to dwarka? What were
highlights of herlater life?

A4         Prasanna Bhalerao Knowsa great deal about Mahabharata, read 5

Nothing happened to Radha after Krishna left Vrindavan, much less muchtime
later when the Yadav's moved to Dwaraka. This is because:

Radha, theperson, is a figment of imagination and did not exist.

Q5         How can Imake stick idli?

A5         Anbazhagan Ambrose Selfcertified chef18h ago

Ah that recent piece of “creativity”:) A friend asked me few days ago.

Get aluminiumkulfi molds. Grease with oil. Pour batter. Stick a stick. Steam.
Done.

I wonder how having only one exposed surface idly fare when comparedagainst two
exposed surfaces of idlies eaten with hand. Two surfaces means moresambar that
gains entry into the idly, no???

I think I will do next level of “innovation” with idly. Pour idly intoa mold.
Stick a 2 mm diameter tube. Pour sambar into that tubing.

Remove tube. Pre-packaged idly with sambar inside.

That is why Ikeep on telling idly is the most versatile dish :)

Q6         I havesaving account in PNB Bank in Uttar Pradesh can I open another
saving bankaccount in Rajasthan in PNB Bank?

A6         Prasanna BhaleraoPlease do not share my answers on monetised spaces.
Mon

In these modern days of Internet banking, (state) borderless banking, where a
branch is just a mere formality, you don’t need to open another accountin the
same bank just because the state is different. However, if there arecompelling
reasons, you can of course open an account in Rajasthan also.

Q7         In my oncampus interview resume I mistakenly add my 12th marks
83.67% instead of83.60%. I realized it after got selected in that company. Will
this smalldifference create any problem? If so then what I should do now to
keep thisjob.

A7         KanthaswamyBalasubramaniam LawyerJuly 22

Nobody willcare or give a second glance unless they want an excuse to throw you
out.

In Amazon Bangalore, HR once found that a Kid who reported his XIImarks as
91.2% actually scored 81.2% after four years.

Why? Because some colleague decided to snoop on him and rat him out.

HR called him, asked him to predate the documents with 81.2% instead of91.2%
and asked him to go back to work. Ten minutes max.

Unless you actually forge a document, you are fine.

It costs money to hire someone. The Average Company spends an averageof Rs.
23,000/- to hire a fresh recruit. So to remove someone and appointsomeone else
costs money.

If a Company did that for 0.07% then trust me - Itll be bankrupt within2 years
and getting kicked out would be a blessing in disguise.Just go to workand enjoy
your life.

Q8         Why isRadha more often worshiped with Lord Krishna than Rukmini?

A8         Prasanna Bhalerao Knowsa great deal about Mahabharata, read 5
versionsSun

Radha ispopular in North India only. While acknowledged, she is notworshipped
south of the Vindhyas. Gujarat is an exception. In the state ofMaharashtra,
where I come from, we have Lord Vitthal and consort Rakhumai — the embodiment
of Krishnaand Rukmini.

I have travelled South. Even the Iyyengars, the followers of LordVishnu (and in
turn Lord Krishna) don't have temples of Radha-Krishna.

Radha was created as a person in the early medeival age to bring backHindu
people into Hinduism. The religion was too much controlled by upper
casteBrahmins and priests. Islam was spreading its wings. This movement was
calledthe Bhakti Panth (the devotional movement). In particular, the poet
Jaidevcreated Radha in Geet Govind. That is why Radha doesn't find any mention
inHarivamsa, the most definitive book on Krishna's childhood...

I have receivedmany hateful comments because of this. But my belief is
unshakable. Ihave no objection if people want to believe Radha. People
shouldn't object if Idon't believe what they like to believe. Profile photo for

Q9         India hasthe Taj Mahal. What does your country have?

A9         Venkat Jack ofall...Updated August 17, 2020

I am from India and I don't think Taj Mahal actually accuratelyrepresents us.
We have thisin the South

Amaravati Marbles (1500 years before Taj Mahal)

Belur chennakesava temple (500 years before Taj Mahal)

Madurai Meenakshi Temple

North/Central India

Lakshmana Temple(Khajuraho), 700 years before Taj mahal

Sahastrabahu, referring to the thousand armed or infinite Vishnu, 500years
before Taj mahal

So in anutshell…India has much much more than just Taj Mahal. It is short
sighted toinvoke Taj Mahal as pinnacle of Indian architectural or
culturalachievementProfile photo for Al Upton

Q10       Whatanimal can spit fire?

A10       Al Upton Vegan forHealth, Diabetes Type2, Environmental and
EthicalUpdated Sat

Apart from humans, my answer is snakes.

Snakes can belchfire. Okay, this can only happen if the conditions are just
right, butit's still pretty cool. Basically, if an animal a snake has eaten
bursts while being digested and fills thesnake's stomach with enough hydrogen,
a nearby spark can turn the snake into afire-breathing, armless, legless dragon.

Is it Possible for an Animal to Breathe Fire? - You Ask We Answer

Is there any fire breathing animals like the mythical dragon? Is thereany, then
how awesome is that! First, let’s look at the species of animal thatuse the
same concept for protection.

In Australia wehave spitfires. While they don’t spit fire, their sting feels
like a burn. Thisimage actually makes me cringe a little. As a kid ‘though if
you gotbit, you got over it. Or if mum was home you would play it up for treats.

Spitfires have a unique social structure of leaders and followersjointly making

Kolhāpurā Māhālakshmī is a Shaktī or Satīpeethā formed by Trīnetrā ofgoddess
Satī.

The Kolhapur Shakti Peetha is of special religious significance beingone of the
six places where it is believed that one can either obtain salvationfrom
desires or have them fulfilled. The temple takes its name from Ambabai, the
consort ofShiva, and it is believed that the divine couple reside in
thearea.(Ref:Official website of Kolhāpurā Māhālakshmī)

The presiding deity of the place is Mahīsāsurā-mardīnī i.e. GoddessDurgā.

Her Bhaīrāva is Krodhīsh Bhaīrāva (Shīvā) (Ref:Māhābhagvatā Purānā)

Glory this place iswell described in Skandā Purānā:-

O son! The expansion of Karasthrā is 10 Yojanās. The country is
veryinaccessible. In the mid of that place there's place measuring 5-Kosā which
isbuilt by Māhālakshmī Devī named Karāveerā Kshetrā which is even more
auspiciousthan places like Kāshī etc. The place is very blissful and remover of
all sinsby a sight. Here Vādpargāmī Brahmānas and sages reside. The place

KolhāpurāMāhālakshmī temple is managed by Srīvīdyoupāsakas i.e. Shaktās of
SrīkulāShaktīsm. And so Śrī Chakrā is worshipped there.

The temple not only has Devī's idol but also idol of Lord Ganeshā andLīngum of
Lord Shīvā . The Shīvālīngum was made there because due to Alankarāthe devotees
were unable to see the Shīvalīngum situated in Māhālakshmī's head,so Lord
Shīvā's Līngum was made separately there. (Around 12th Century)

It also have idols of Māhākālī i.e. Māhāmāyā and Māhāsaraswatī

Q12       Is theremarriage in Vaikuntha?

A12       Rami Sivan Priest,Dharma teacher, counsellor, Gov. Advisor
(1998–present)Mon

Vaikuṇṭha is not a place, a planet or a location in the Universeso no there is
no marriage, no palaces, no virgins, no feasting, no singing anddancing and
partying.

The description of Vaikuṇṭha in the Srimad Bhagavatam2:9:9 is mythology.

Always start with parsing the Sanskrit. vai - kuṇṭameans FREE FROM OBSTRUCTION
- unlimited, unrestricted and therefor vast andinconceivable.

The accuratedescription is from the Vishnu Purana

pradhāna-puruṣāvyakta-kālānāṃparamam hi yat | paśyanti sūrayaḥ śuddham tad
viṣṇoḥparamam padam ||

What is beyond matter, spirit, manifestation, and time; that immaculate[state]
which sages behold [in meditation] that is the supreme abode of Vishnu.(Vishnu
Purana 1.2.16)

viśuddhaṃ bodhanaṃnityam ajam akṣayam avyayam | avyaktamavikāraṃ yat tad
viṣṇoḥparamaṃpadam || na sthūlaṃ na ca sūkṣmamyan-na viśeṣaṇa ‘gocaram | tat
padaṃparamaṃviṣṇoḥpraṇamāmaḥsadāmalam ||

That which is the Supreme State (Paramam Padam) of Vishnu is
pure,consciousness, eternal, unborn, undecayable, inexhaustible,
unmanifest, immutable, It is neither gross nor subtle, nor capable of being
defined, tothat ever immaculate Supreme State of Vishnu I bow. V.P 1:9:50 – 51

We always needto vigilantly struggle to seperate Mythology from Philosophy.

P.S. Please do not object like Peacefuls and denounce me - act likeVedantins
and address the verses quoted from the Vishnu Purana and explain whythey are
wrong and your version of Vaikuntha is the correct one. Profile photofor Curtis

2 very commonsources that have nothing to do with climate change or undredged
rivers-

Flexible rubber supplyhoses for clothes washers. They are constantly under
pressure. If a hose“blows out” and you are not at home, you will have thousands
of gallons ofwater running out of your laundry area. Spend a few dollars more
for the typethat have a braided stainless steel covering.

The second issimilar. Many toilets have a flexible plastic supply line that
connects thetoilet to the water supply. If it blows out while you are at
work, you will come home to find water running out from under your door. Again,
getthe type with the stainless steel overwrap.

It will cost you FAR less than the deductible on your homeowner’sinsurance.

Q14       What isconsidered on the long end of a train of railway cars? Have
there ever been anya mile long?

A14       David Moe Lives in CanadianRockies (2006–present)September 11

These days, trains one mile long are standard, trains two miles long are common,
and thereare occasional three mile long trains. Last year, the Class Irailways
average mainline train length was about 9,000 feet and averagetrainload weighed
about 95,000 tons. On single track lines it is limited by thelength of the
sidings for train passing, which are typically 10,000 to 12,000feet long but on
multiple track lines it can be longer.

Railways tendto think more about number of cars and gross tonnage than train
length, becausethat determines the size of trains the locomotives can pull.
TheCanadian railways, Canadian Pacific and Canadian National, and Union
PacificRailroad incorporated long trains into their operating strategies
andaggressively push the length envelope. Other railways are less aggressive
andrun shorter trains but, when it comes to the reasons for lengthening
trains, all the Class Is are in unison: it is to boost productivity, gain
moreefficiencies and cut costs.

Excessivelylong trains can cause operational problems since the engineers in
the cab canlose radio contact with the rear of the train. There is also ahigher
possibility of the train breaking up, which just causes all the brakesto come
on, but fixing the problem may take some time.

The two Canadianrailways are currently in a bidding war for Kansas City
Southern, with CPlikely to win, but regardless people in Kansas City and south
may soonsee 8500 foot grain trains from Northern Canada coming through, heading
forMexico City. For railways, profits are all about heavy loads and long hauls.

The Spiral Tunnelson the Canadian Pacific mainline in Yoho National Park are a
popular touristattraction because the trains do a figure 8 inside Cathedral
Mountain to gainaltitude for Kicking Horse Pass, and they can watch the lead
locomotives of thetrain come out at the top of the tunnel before the trailing
cars enter themountain at the bottom.
