NEW YEAR 2022 Dear friends,
While the New Year begins tomorrow as per Gregorian calendar,due to Covid 19 and Omicron Governments have made many restricts in India formidnight celebrations. In Kerala as watched from TVnews, all celebrations have to be over by 22 hours of 31-12-2021. So no midnight celebrations. Curtailing midnight celebrations have been implementedby other Governments also. However those who celebrate with TV may have noproblem. Most might have checked and kept ready UPS connection for TV, if powersupply failed at the midnight. TV program can be a recorded program because of therestrictions deployed. Live telecast may be there in states and countries wherethere are no restrictions. While we have faced Covid 19 problem for the last 21months and continue to face, there are countries which are not affected bycovid 19!! Reason is a mystery. Two major problems we are going to carry over to the NewYear are these major deceases- Covid 19 and Omicron. Wearing two layer masks and keeping socialdistancing has to be continued in 2022 also. At one time greeting cards were there as season’sgreetings combined with Christmas and New Year and used mostly by Christians. Nowmostly New Year greetings are sending through Emails. However still postmenwill have a bundle of New Year greetings in India. Many feel printed greetingswith signature and send by post cannot excel any other type of greetings. In Tamilnadu Pongal day is the regional NewYear as per Tamil calendar. In Kerala Vishu is considered as New Year. For the first one month in New Year, many may haveproblems in putting year as 2021 instead of 2022. Cheque presented by self forcash is accepted with correction (attested with full signature). But if forcollection, the instrument might FAIL. Correction is not accepted anywhere in the cheque. Another problem brain not able to solve with many isin the new financial year. On 31-3-2022 the financial year 2021-2022 ends. Whilenew financial year begins, many may repeat instead of 2022-2023, as 2021-2022. After retirement the financial year discussion comes onlywhile returning incometax returns. All New Year wishes will be for happy, prosperous andhealthy New Year among elders. Most seniors want first prosperous, next healthyand finally happy new year. If prosperity is there, health can be maintainedbetter and automatically happiness would appear. Money cannot bring allhappiness, but certain amount of happiness can be brought by more money. Let ushope for a prosperous, healthy and happy new year 2022.
