Do you really know how much tax we pay to the government.

In India, under the new income tax rate, taxes are levied at 0%, 5%, 10%,
15%, 20%, 25% and 30%, but we are paying more tax to the government through
indirect taxes.

But the importance that people give to income taxation is not given to
indirect taxation. Truth be told the indirect tax is not seen on a large
scale.

Taxes are always an additional burden for the common and middle class, so
do you know how much we pay to the government through 1000 direct and
indirect taxes ..?

1000 rupees

If you deposit 1000 rupees in full in the bank for one year, you will get
55 rupees income at 5.50% interest.

This is how we get a loan of 1000 rupees a year from the bank and we have
to pay 90 rupees to the bank at 9% interest.

With 18 per cent GST levied on meals with family in hotels for Rs 1000 like
this, we have to pay Rs 180 to the Central Government.

GST tax

So if you want to buy an item worth 1000 rupees, ordinary people can buy
that item worth 1000 rupees only if they earn 1180 rupees including 180
rupees GST tax.

But the big problem is that the matter does not stand still.

Income tax

Do not forget that if you are in the 20 per cent income tax category i.e. a
person earning between 5 and 10 lakh rupees per annum then you have to pay
20 per cent tax on your income.

Tax and Chess

When you look at it like that you can only buy an item worth 1000 rupees if
you earn 1486.15 rupees. Do you not understand .. If you earn 1486.15
rupees, you have to pay 20% income tax of 297.23 rupees and 3% of the
income tax of 8.92 rupees as chess tax directly to the Central Government.

486.15 tax

Thus, if you want to buy an item worth 1000 rupees, you have to pay 180
rupees GST tax, 297.23 rupees income tax, 8.92 rupees chess and a total of
486.15 rupees as tax only. 48.6% direct and indirect tax

At present, the middle class in India has to pay 486.15 rupees, or 48.6 per
cent of the direct and indirect taxes levied on goods worth 1000 rupees.
