Pranam The thought of human nature is OK; but the use of reason as " we are homosapiens" is unreasonable. I do not know whether homosapien- being, is different from other classifications/ That too theory of evolution and brand names recorded by the west, are not absolute theories. There are some distant fossils discovered from Mainly Germany ( read my comments of the west few lines quoted by Mr G pointing out his errors on the same date) which cannot read the evolutions of the universe or even the earth. Some Greek and Latin names may not be the right theory at all. So reasoning is begging the question viz "we are homosapiens". What is meant by Homo sapiens and do they exist even now?. "Homo sapiens, (Latin: “wise man”) the species <https://www.britannica.com/science/species-taxon> to which all modern human beings <https://www.britannica.com/topic/human-being> belong. *Homo sapiens* is one of several species grouped into the genus <https://www.britannica.com/dictionary/genus> *Homo* <https://www.britannica.com/topic/Homo>, but it is the only one that is not extinct <https://www.britannica.com/science/extinction-biology>. The name *Homo sapiens* was applied in 1758 by the father of modern biological classification (*see* taxonomy <https://www.britannica.com/science/taxonomy> ), Carolus Linnaeus <https://www.britannica.com/biography/Carolus-Linnaeus>. It had long been known that human beings physically resemble the primates <https://www.britannica.com/animal/primate-mammal> more closely than any other known living organisms, but at the time it was a daring act to classify human beings within the same framework used for the rest of nature. Linnaeus, concerned exclusively with similarities in bodily structure, faced only the problem of distinguishing *H. sapiens* from apes <https://www.britannica.com/animal/ape> (gorillas <https://www.britannica.com/animal/Gorilla-primate-genus>, chimpanzees <https://www.britannica.com/animal/chimpanzee>, orangutans <https://www.britannica.com/animal/orangutan>, and gibbons <https://www.britannica.com/animal/gibbon-primate>), which differ from humans in numerous bodily as well as cognitive <https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cognitive> features. (Charles Darwin’s <https://www.britannica.com/biography/Charles-Darwin> treatise <https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/treatise> on evolution <https://www.britannica.com/science/evolution-scientific-theory>, *On the Origin of Species*, would come 101 years later.) Since Linnaeus’s time, a large fossil record <https://www.britannica.com/science/fossil-record> has been discovered. This record contains numerous extinct species that are much more closely related to humans than to today’s apes and that were presumably more similar to *H. sapiens* behaviorally as well. Following the ancestors of modern human beings into the distant past raises the question of what is meant by the word *human*. *H. sapiens* is human by definition, whereas apes are not. But what of the extinct members of the human tribe ( Hominini <https://www.britannica.com/topic/hominin>), who were clearly not *H. sapiens* but were nonetheless very much like them? There is no definitive answer to this question. Although human evolution can be said to involve all those species more closely related to *H. sapiens* than to the apes, the adjective *human* is usually applied only to *H. sapiens* and other members of the genus *Homo* (e.g., *H. erectus* <https://www.britannica.com/topic/Homo-erectus>, *H. habilis* <https://www.britannica.com/topic/Homo-habilis>). Behaviorally, only *H. sapiens* can be said to be “fully human,” but even the definition of *H. sapiens* is a matter of active debate. Some paleoanthropologists <https://www.britannica.com/science/paleoanthropology> extend the span of this species far back into time to include many anatomically distinctive fossils <https://www.britannica.com/science/fossil> that others prefer to allocate <https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/allocate> to several different extinct species. In contrast, a majority of paleoanthropologists, wishing to bring the study of hominins <https://www.britannica.com/topic/hominin> into line with that of other mammals <https://www.britannica.com/animal/mammal>, prefer to assign to *H. sapiens* only those fossil forms that fall within the anatomic spectrum of the species as it exists today. In this sense, *H. sapiens* is very recent, having originated in Africa <https://www.britannica.com/place/Africa> more than 315,000 years ago (315 kya). Samje. Thank u KR IRS 12822
