Respected Mr Rajaram who writes as KR IRS,
Your response reg QA 9
Why not Mr Rajaram's grand son right (Write)
Sir, Your hurry is seen even in the sarcasm. Whether my grand son will right or
write?
Always you write I am stupid, class 1 standard etc. The great IRS, how got
selected by UPSC by writing right instead of write?
You can again call me by any name like Punnakku, Matapayal etc, but your
English standard is very low. Other former IAS officers will laugh at you for
such mistakes you commit because of your hurried nature.

enumerated in almost several Smṛtis in context of specifying the expiations for

food for thought; can it be said wisely written in English?; MNO; the right
interpretation is: 1) Gṛdhra (गृध्र) (lit. “one who strives after greedily”)
refers to the Black or King Vulture (Sarcogyps calvus), according to scientific
texts such as the Mṛgapakṣiśāstra (Mriga-pakshi-shastra) or “the ancient Indian
science of animals and birds” by Hamsadeva, containing the varieties and
descriptions of the animals and birds seen in the Sanskrit Epics such as the
Ramayana and Mahabharata. 2) Gṛdhra (गृध्र) (lit. “one who is greedy”) also
refers to the Hawk/Falcon (Śyena). Hence after the death, while performing the
sraddha, the greediness of the dead is offered as a product in the fire, so
that, his consequential Karma, might be evaluated the least. उलूकयातुं

kṣetra-jñaḥ–the knower of the field; iti–thus; tat-vidaḥ–persons conversant

Śrī Bhagavān said: O son of Kuntī, those conversant with knowledge regarding
kṣetra and kṣetra-jña describe this body as a field (kṣetra) and one who knows
this body to be the knower of the field (kṣetra-jña).
What is kṣetra and who is kṣetra-jña? In reply to this question, Śrī Bhagavān
speaks this verse beginning with idam. This body is the refuge of all enjoyment
through the medium of the senses and is called the field, or kṣetra. In other
words, it is the origin of the tree of material existence. Those in bondage are
covered by the misconceptions of ‘I’ and ‘mine’ in relation to their bodies,
which are generated by the false ego. They are freed from such misconceptions
however, when they attain the liberated stage. In other words, when they are
liberated, they become free from attachment to the body. The living entity
situated in either of these stages is known as kṣetra-jña, the knower (jña) of
the field (kṣetra). He is like a farmer, in that he alone is the knower of his
field and the enjoyer of its fruits.
4 In Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.12.23) Śrī Bhagavān says:
adanti caikaṃ phalam asya gṛdhrā grāme-carā ekam araṇya-vāsāḥ
haṃsā ya ekaṃ bahu-rūpam ijyair māyā-mayaṃ veda sa veda vedam
The ignorant conditioned souls, greedy to acquire sense objects, experience
misery as one of the fruits of this tree of material existence. Places like
Svarga (the heavenly planets) are also ultimately miserable. However, there are
some swan-like liberated personalities who also reside in the forest of the
material world. They enjoy another type of fruit, namely the happiness of
liberation (mukti)‚ which is always blissful. Thus the one tree of material
existence leads to various destinations, such as the heavenly planets, the
hellish regions and liberation. It is observed, therefore, that this tree is
composed of māyā (illusion) and that it has multiple forms, being born from the
deluding potency (māyā-śakti). Only those who accept a bona fide spiritual
master understand this secret, and it is they who actually know the field
(kṣetra) and the knower of the field (kṣetra-jña).( Does Parsis being Hindus
knew the B G concept?)
5 It has another meaning too: Gṛdhra (गृध्र) [Also spelled gradhra]:—(nm) a
vulture; (a) greedy; —[dṛṣṭi] long-sighted; one gifted with a capability to see
remote things. ( far(fore)-sightedness. ).

to be the son of Shyeni. The vulture spreads its wings and paws and it is posed
as if it is giving out calls depicted on the flag of Ghatotkacha. Another
similar bird depicted on the flag of the demon was called Alanbusha.
In Shantiparva of the Mahabharata, there is a story of a dialogue between the
vulture and the fox. A dead body of a child was brought to the cemetery for
funeral rites. At that time the vulture and the fox were present there. Both of
them tried to fool the relatives of the dead child because both of them wanted
to devour the corpse.
6 There are actually four kinds of vultures. Vultures are kin to eagles and
also hawks. They have strong wings and fat bodies. They subsist on flesh and
fruits. They are skilled hunters. They have glossy bodies of various colours
and they are sluggish in nature. They breed during the rainy season. A female
vulture starts laying eggs when it reaches the age of 2 years. The young chicks
are nurtured and protected by the mother. When their chicks are born, their
eyes remain closed. Slowly the eyes open and they start growing. They traverse
long distances. They like to move in flocks. Some varieties of vultures are
terribly scared of water. They make frightening calls. They descend on the prey
with lightning speed and in no time they finish off the prey. They have great
appetites and they eat a lot. Although they live in flocks they also fight
among themselves.

down the post).
I became a formerofficer( I have no more gazetted class I authority after
30-9-2004- my date of retirement) I am formerITS just for telling others.
Retirement ID cardwas not in vogue in Kerala Telecom at that time, so for
identity the medicalcard was issued.
I submitted jointphoto with my wife, retirement address, and savings account in

A retirementmeeting was conducted and an appreciation letter for the service

Q4 Why do vultures not take live prey?
A4 Vince S, I've been an avid birder forover 35 years. Nov 10
Vultures are large scavenging birds, often seenpicking at the carcasses of
animals. But why don’t they go for live prey?
There are severalreasons. For one, vultures have very weak feet and legs, which
make it hard for them to kill anything. Their beaks are also notwell-suited for
hunting – they’re better at tearing flesh than they are atkilling.
But moreimportantly, vultures prefer to eat carrion because it’s easier than
goingafter live prey. Carrionis already dead, so vultures don’t have to expend
a lot of energy to get theirfood.
And there’s usuallyplenty of carrion to go around, so vultures don’t have to
compete with otheranimals for food.

Life of ROelement, depends on tds level and output। Also chlorinecontent.
In most homes withone couple staying and TDS below 500, life can be easily 2
years 5000 to 6000Hrs।
When this ischanged, other 2 are also to be changed.
Someone wrote, it needs annual change। Really absurd।Further UV is a light bulb
it can last for years also. It depends।
The Rs 6000 AMC for15000 machine is 33% of cost। It is unfair।Year after year
these companies make money। As number of units grow they can’thandle volumes।
But loot is going on in market since last few years ।no price check। Naked
Capitalism is visible।
I guess Rs 3000 peryear are reasonable charges including 1800 cost of filters
kit।
If water supplythrough delivery tap reduces or water tastes bitter or smells ,
it is time tochange filters including RO membrane filter।
Some enterprisingpeople clean RO element and reuse it, also।
But as I said , insmall homes 2 years I would give , if low tds water is
supplied.
Also please note our Honble NGT has ordered not to sell ROto customers having
water supply with less than 500 ppm tds and not having anyspecific harmful
contents like heavy metals or bacteria।
Go for a simple 3stage filter. Sand filteris better than RO to remove viruses।
Avoid these costly badly managedcompanies having arrogance and poor after sales
service. I have been customerand know personally.
RO is bad for health and reduces tds by 90% to 95%.Yougot to add one drop of
mineral solution in every 200 ml glass।Yourdrinking water should have around
100 tds at minimum।Gotit ?
My note- Yesterday there was a QA on RO system,in which some points I could not
agree. Why I published it is clear from thisQA. Some of the points toldin it
are orders.
Most service agencies paste their name and phone number onthe equipment in

Q8 Is it okay if I eat foods with highsugar and then compensate for
it by eating equally healthy bitter foods andexercising so that I don't get
diabetes later in my life?
A8 Stella Smith | Diabetes Expert, Doctorat Health21h
Is it okay if I eatfoods with high sugar and then compensate for it by eating
equally healthybitter foods and exercising so that I don't get diabetes later
in my life?
The short answer is yes. You can absolutely enjoy sweet foods and drinks, and
still take careof your health by eating bitter foods and exercising regularly.
Here's a littlemore detail on how this works:
When you eat foods with high sugar, your bodyreleases insulin to process the
sugar. Insulin is a hormone that helps yourcells use sugar for energy.
If you consistently eat more sugar than your bodyneeds, though, the extra sugar
is stored as fat. This can lead to obesity and type 2 diabetes.
You can help offsetthe effects of sugar by eating bitter foods. Bitterfoods
help slow down the release of sugar into your bloodstream, which can helpyou
maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
Exerciseis also important for maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. When you
exercise, your muscles use sugar for energy. This helps to keep yourblood sugar
levels in check.
So, ifyou're concerned about developing type 2 diabetes, make sure to enjoy
sweetfoods in moderationandoffset them with bitter foods and exercise. This
way, you can still enjoy yourfavorite sweet treats while keeping your diabetes
risk in check.

If you were born inthe 90s or before, you would recognize the device below. If
you were born afterthe 2000s, chances are that you are seeing this for the
first time. This iscalled a Digital Diary.
This was quitesimilar to a mobile phone in those days except that you couldn't
make a call. You could type something andkeep a note of it. You had a
scientific calculator, you had a phonebook whereyou could save your contacts.
You could see the time and even set analarm. You could store birthday and
anniversary reminders on it. You could alsosave a to-do list for the day and
keep an alert of all the meetings that youhave for the day.
Some of them came with LED lights as well. The deviceused to run on batteries
and was quite handy and quiteuseful. To be honest, back in the 2000s and early
2010s, it provided more features than anormal Nokia feature phone did except
for the camera andcalling facility. If I remember correctly, a digital diary in
India usedto cost somewhere around 2,000 — 4,000 rupees, depending on the
model. The bestones were available for up to 10,000 rupees!
My dad gifted me one when I was in Class 8 and I mostlyused it to save my
friends' numbers and their birthdays.I was too young to get a mobile phone but
wanted to look at the same time. Moreover, a single device where you could save
notes, set alarms, save contactnumbers, calculate big numbers… it was perhaps
the best electronic gadget I had seen at that time. However, today, in the age
of smartphones, digital diaries are no longer foundin the market or on
e-commerce websites. It has lost its relevance and youwon't find anyone using
it anymore.
My note- I amhaving a digital diary kept for memory. My son brought it in
2000’s. I wasusing it for some time. I hope it will function, if I provide the
round lithium cells in it, now we use this type of batteryin accucheck- blood
sugar tester. To keep memory ON, information notlost, out of two cells, one is
kept, the other is replaced. Then the other wasreplaced. If one removed both
cells together, stored information is lost, inthe digital memory with me.
Q10 Are sugary fruits like bananas actuallybad for you in the long term?
A10 Paul Peterson, I have developed a livestockprotocol with omega
9/6/315h
You people aremissing some important points here. Bananas are cheap, good
sources of potassium, to balanceout sodium and fiber.
The best usage issliced, as a sweetener for unsweetened old-fashioned rolled
oats, soakedovernight, (not cooked) to preserve IT'S fiber. The banana sweetens
the oatmealand the oatmeal restricts sugar-absorption, limiting
insulin-response.
This should be part of such daily breakfast fiber intake. You need potassium,
you know.
My note- Recently I read two information 1.About to ripe banana will not
increase blood sugar level like fully ripe one. 2Red banana will not increase
blood sugar level.
