Thanks Sri G K for this interesting fwd.

As we reside in Mandaveli, we have tasted the East Mada st and Mylapore
street foods many a time and found them to be good, or should I say,
reasonably good.

In the area near Kapali temple - the narrow street where the Jannal Kadai
is located, you get plenty of options so long as you are not finicky about
being too hygienic.

You have to strike a compromise between reasonably good food, affordable
prices and hygienic conditions.

There are several brahmin households which deliver lunch and dinner, if you
are within their service area.

Nanganallur is another place, along with West Mambalam, where you get
brahmin home made food. With elderly people living by themselves or alone,
this home delivered food business is booming.
Some of the cooks make the dishes with less salt and oil, to cater to the
senior citizens.
