Q1 Did Gandhari see her sons any time during her lifetime?

KR It is a controversial topic as “Putra Darsana block appeared to
be an insertion. However, it is not Gandhari alone but even citizens and
all others in the forest saw the spectrum: "Vaisampayana said, 'When night
came, all those persons, having finished their evening rites, approached
Vyasa. Dhritarashtra of righteous soul, with purified body and with mind
solely directed towards it, sat there with the Pandavas and the Rishis in
his company. The ladies of the royal household sat with Gandhari in a
secluded spot. All the citizens and the inhabitants of the provinces ranged
according to their years. Then the great ascetic, Vyasa, of mighty energy,
bathing in the sacred waters of the Bhagirathi, summoned all the deceased
warriors, viz., those that had fought on the side of the Pandavas, those
that had fought for the Kauravas, including highly blessed kings belonging
to diverse realms. At this, O Janamejaya, a deafening uproar was heard to
arise from within the waters, resembling that which had formerly been heard
of the forces of the Kurus and the Pandavas. KR IRS 311223

Q1 Did Gandhari see her sons any time during her lifetime?

A1 Bhanu Kiran, Exploring ancient texts of Sanatana Dharma21h

Once in her lifetime, Gandhari experienced a special moment when she could
see all her sons together. This happened 15 years after the Mahabharata war.

Sage Vedavyasa, while bathing in the sacred Bhagirathi river, invoked the
spirits of the departed warriors, including the hundred Kouravas. He gave
divine eyesight to Gandhari and her husband Dhritarashtra, letting them see
their children. The couple spent the whole night talking happily with their
children.

There were Karna and Duryodhana, and the mighty car-warrior Sakuni, and the
other children, endued with great strength, of Dhritarashtra, headed by
Dussasana. There were the son of Jarasandha, and Bhagadatta, and Jalasandha
of great energy, and Bhurisravas, and Sala, and Salya, and Vrishasena with
his younger brother. There were prince Lakshmana (the son of Duryodhana),
and the son of Dhrishtadyumna, and all the children of Sikhandin, and
Dhrishtaketu, with his younger brother. There were Achala and Vrishaka, and
the Rakshasa Alayudha, and Valhika, and Somadatta, and king Chekitana.
These and many others, who for their number cannot be conveniently named,
appeared on that occasion. All of them rose from the waters of the
Bhagirathi, with resplendent bodies. Those kings appeared, each clad in
that dress and equip with that standard and that vehicle which he had while
fighting on the field. All of them were now robed in celestial vestments
and all had brilliant ear-rings. They were free from all animosity and
pride, and divested of wrath and jealousy. Gandharvas sang their praises,
and bards waited on them, chanting their deeds. Robed in celestial
vestments and wearing celestial garlands, each of them was waited upon by
bands of Apsaras. At that time, through the puissance of his penances, the
great ascetic, the son of Satyavati, gratified with Dhritarashtra, gave him
celestial vision. Endued with celestial knowledge and strength, Gandhari of
great fame saw all her children as also all that had been slain in battle.

My note- Elsewhere I read once Gandhari asked Suyodhana to come after bath
and appear naked so that she could transfer her thapobalam to her opening
her eyes. However as guided by ,Narada, he wore cloth in the waist area and
appeared. Hence he had less strength in waist area.

Q2 What doesn't impress you?

During my service period, there were two young men. Both were jovial,
always cracking jokes.

People would flock around them wherever they were. Let us name them as Ram
and Shyam.

Their typical style of talking used to be like this:

Shyam: (calling a passer by) “Hey brother, come here. I want to tell you
how to earn a few lakh (one million=ten lakhs) rupees, very quickly.”

The person would walk to Shyam’s seat. The person: (smiling) “OK tell me the
secret.”

Shyam: “If you take your slippers to the museum and tell them that they
belong to Indus Valley Civilization period, they will believe you and pay
you a hefty amount.”

People sitting around Shyam would burst into laughter while the smile on
the person wearing old slippers vanished.Shyam: “No offence brother, it is
just a joke!”

Ram: “Today our boss compared me with a donkey.”

People around him: “Then what did you say?”

Ram: “I said, ‘Sir please don’t insult the donkey.’”

People sitting around Ram burst into laughter.

Ram: (addressing a person who was sitting there with a sad face) “Hey
brother, why don’t you teach me letter drafting? You are so good at it.”

The sadness from the person’s face immediately vanished!Yes, Shyam laughs
at others while Ram laughs with others.People who laugh at others do not
impress me.

Q3 What is a disturbing fact most people are unaware of?

A3 Aaman Khan,Lives in Kolkata, West Bengal, India

Look at the below image:What did you see?

Must be some poor family from some distant part of Africa, right?

Wrong. This is the Siddi tribe[1], who are African descendents residing in a
small area, near a district named Karwar, in Karnataka, India.

Yes, they are Indians. And they speak Indian languages as fluently as you
and I.

This is Juje Jackie Harnodkar Siddi, who works for the central government,
in Mumbai.

The amount of struggle and racism, he and his tribe faces everyday, is
something I feel is supposed to be shared.

This tribe came into limelight in 1987, when the government thought they
can use these people. Since, many Africans are genetically good in
athelete, they decided to set up “The Special India Games” particularly for
this tribe. So that they get proper training and could bag the country a
few medals.

This tribe showed a lot of enthusiasm and patriotism in this project. They
really wanted to prove their love for their country, India. Both the
genders took part in it.

And many performed with their heart, in the state levels and national
levels.Like, Kamala Babu Siddi, a 15 year old, won the National record in
Junior Girls Penthathlon.

Did you read that? But how many of us even know she exists even after her
retirement?

Everything was going good and the program was running well but here comes
the sad part:

And they again lost their identity, they thought they were slowly gaining.

But they still haven't lost hope. They are still, practising, in a hope
that they'll represent their country someday, and will actually win.

I never really write an answer with this many images, but then it was
needed. This tribe really needs their proper rights, and should get equal
treatment the way you and I are treated.

My note- new information to me.

Q4 How do vultures scare cheetahs off their prey?

A4 K. Fletcher, Master's Degree in Psychology, Harvard University
(Graduated 2011)15h

Vultures have been known to overwhelm and overpower cheetahs off a kill.
Let's examine how and when this is possible.

Above: massive audience of vultures waiting for cheetahs to finish

Vultures are huge. (30lbs!) They never come alone. When fifty plus vultures
come two things happen: the (typically lone or new mother) cheetah gets
exceedingly nervous, as they draw substantial attention from bigger
predators. This elevates their stress response, creating a ticking clock of
sorts for cheetah. Their intolerance for the attention grows, as does their
nervousness and the vultures recognize it, become emboldened and mob the
cat… who leaves.

However, this almost always/only occurs after the cheetah has long gotten
its fill. The vultures sense the cheetah is nearly done and this emboldens
them.

The cheetah leaves. As seen in the video below, cheetah do chase off
vultures initially and likely would continue if they weren't already
massively full. (As evidenced by its bulging stomach as it leaves)

Q5 What are some strange psychological facts about dreams?

Serraa Khaphají,Sat

Let’s talk…

Recurring Nightmares: People experience recurring nightmares. These dreams
often circle common themes, such as being chased or falling. The repetition
of these nightmares may point to unresolved fears or anxieties that the
dreamer is grappling with on a subconscious level.

Lucid Dreaming Exploration: You become aware that you're dreaming and can
sometimes control the dream, offering an empowering psychological
experience. People who practice lucid dreaming may deliberately explore
their subconscious, confront fears, or even problem-solve.

Personal Significance: Dreams often contain symbols and analogies that hold
personal significance to the dreamer. For example, a recurring dream of
losing one's teeth might reflect feelings of powerlessness or insecurity.
Understanding the individual meaning behind dream symbols can provide value
to one's emotions.

Dreams Reflecting Emotional States: The emotional intensity of dreams can
mirror the dreamer's waking emotional state. Dreams may amplify and express
emotions that are present but not fully acknowledged in daily life. Paying
attention to the emotional tone of dreams can offer clues to underlying
psychological states.

Dreams as Problem-Solving Tools: Some individuals find that their dreams
provide creative solutions to real-life problems. Whether resolving a
work-related issue or navigating a personal challenge, the subconscious
mind, through dreams, may offer inventive and unexpected solutions that the
conscious mind may not have considered.
