Thanks. While obviously these " motherhood" types of statements make nice reading, we will destroy ourselves, (like M K Gandhi and his chelas did to the Hindus by making so many generations docile, cowardly, impotent, incompetent and what not - cannot fight back but to show the other cheek always) if we see beauty where there is none.
We need to see the world for what it is - Good, Bad, Ugly. And support the Good and Fight the Bad. Krishna did not ask the Pandavas to have only love and give up their legitimate rights. Being an idealist is a sure way to disaster; let us be realists. Teresa showered love and affection BUT converted all those poor souls. That is not pure love but love with a purpose, a sinister one at that. Of course our Hindu Institutions, (save a few like Sivananda Gurukulam, R K Mutt etc) practised rituals ( important though they are) but forgot the people and differentiated on castes, which Teresa likes took advantage of. As Swami Vivekananda said " A pair of helping hands is worth more than a hundred pair of praying lips" or words to that effect. Christians and Muslims put service as a means to convert people to their Faith and we Hindus place more emphasis on rituals forgetting that if we lose people to others where they are shown they are apparantly cared for, we will run out of people for whose benefits the rituals are conducted. Enough of idealism, let us be Practical.
