The same with Kerala also. In 75% of cases except the funeral all other Karmas
are conducted at Palghat, Trichur , Cochin or Trivandrum. In these places for
all Antyakarams, the Kerala Brahmana Samajam has made arrangements for stay,
place for karma, sasthrikals and Brahmins. Also for sradha.
Arya samajam is not famous, if available .

There is no category like Srardha brahmins. As I read a learnt Vedic person
must be a Bhoktha.
Before decades the sasthrikal himself used to sit as Viswam deva in Central
Kerala area. The Brahmana samooham members themselves appeared as Bhokthas.
Now every where sasthrikal arranges bhokthas. He has a list of persons. Mostly
poor Brahmins.
For death related functions the bhokthas are a set of Brahmins, their identity
is known to sasthrikal only. Whether handicapped, having wounds or any other
deficiencies, the kartha has to adjust. Not much inquiries or talks.

அழைத்துஉட்காரச் சொல்லி சொல்லுங்கோ மாமா..என்ன விஷயம்" எனக் கேட்க" நான் இந்த
அக்ரஹார வாத்யார். பக்கத்து ஆத்தில் ஸ்ரார்த்தம். திடீரென ஒரு பிராமணாள் வர
முடியாத சூழ்நிலை. ஸ்ரார்த்தம் தடை படக்கூடாது. அதான் நீங்க பிராமணாள வர
முடியுமானு கேட்க வந்தேன். நீங்க அக்ரஹாரத்துக்கு புதுசு. தப்பா இருந்தா
ஷமிக்கணும்."
அவர் சற்று யோசித்து விட்டு சிரித்தவாறே நல்ல வேளை. இன்னிக்கு குருவாரம் கார்த்தால
விரதம். ஒரு நிமிஷம் என்றவாறு உள்ளே செல்கிறார். சற்று நேரத்தில் வெளியே வந்து ஒரு
மணிக்கு முடிஞ்சுடுமா எனக் கேட்க, வாத்யார் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் பன்னண்டரைக்கு நீங்க
கிளம்பிடலாம்என்கிறார். " சரி கிளம்புங்கோ.. நான்'மடி' கட்டிண்டு வரேன்"
என்கிறார். வாத்யார் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் சென்று விபரங்களைக் கூற எல்லோருக்கும் பரம
சந்தோஷம்.
வாத்யார் பரபரவென காரியத்தை ஆரம்பிக்க அந்தப் புதியவர் உள்ளே வரவாங்கோ.. வாங்கோ
ரொம்ப சந்தோஷம். நல்ல நேரத்தில் உபகாரம் பண்ணினேள். என அவரை உபசாரம் பண்ண, பிறகு
மளமளவென பிராமணாள் சாப்பிட்டு தக்ஷிணை பெற்று ஸ்ரார்த்தம் முடிவடைந்தது. மீண்டும்
அவருக்கு நன்றி கூற அவர் சொல்கிறார்.
" பிராமணார்த்தம் சாப்பிடுவது பிராமணனின் கடமை. முடிந்தவரை மாட்டேன் என
சொல்லக்கூடாது. இது ரொம்ப புண்ணியம். எல்லா பித்ருக்கள் ஆசிகளும் கிடைக்கும். இதை
மகா பெரியவா பலமுறை சொல்லி இருக்கா..ஆனா ரொம்ப பேர் இதுக்கு வரதில்லை. அது ரொம்ப
பாவம். உங்கஆத்துக்கு மட்டும் வரணும்னு நினைக்கிறேள். ஆனா நீங்க மட்டும் போக
மாட்டேன்னு சொன்னா அது நியாயமா? என்கிறார்.
பிறகு இங்கு பிராமண சமாஜம் இருக்கா எனக் கேட்க வாத்யார் இருக்கே நான்தான்
செக்ரட்டரி" எனக் கூற, அந்தப் புதியவர் தனக்கு தரப் பட்ட தட்சணையுடன் கூட ஐநூறு
ரூபாய் கொடுத்து "இதை என்பங்காக வச்சுக்குங்கோ" என்றவாறு " போய்ட்டு வரேன்" என
கைகூப்பி விடைபெறுகிறார்.
வாத்யார், " மாமா..ஒரு நிமிஷம்.. நீங்க யாரு..என்ன உத்யோகம் என சொல்லலையே" எனக்
கேட்க, அவர் சிரித்தவாறே *நான் திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்ட கலெக்டர்" என்கிறார்.*
