1 I have been reading all quite interestingly. There is a story. The
daughter in law turned away the beggar. This was being watched by the
mother in law. She was wild. How can she say that? She scolded her and
called back the beggar who returned so happily. Then M in Law said "No alms
Go away".
2 So all the time since long I was accusing Vadhyars. but the people who
were making fun of me are now charging the same !
3 We have to follow a principle , if we follow, in all equity, as
advocated there. Manu smrithi and other sutras are very clear about it. It
had given a big list of UNQUALIFIED VADHYARS. Where one finds such, dont
beg them. You learn it because you are a brahmin and feel proud by birth.
And do sradham. Or Refrain from totally. Suppose you are posted at a place
where tirunelveli collector may not even be available, then ? That is why
Hiranya sradham. No big mantras. Just sit and arrange food products in
dhakshinai. Give to some brahmin. It is over. Seetha did it only in that
late sunset evening. That is why I wrote long back. Vedam is universal.
Americans do not do any sradham. Are they sinners? The body is burnt or
buried. Soul does not expect anything according to our Vedas. Then what is
that or where is that stula shareeram? Who is expecting water, food etc? It
is our love; discipline and way of life. When adharma dances ahead, why do
you bend? Krishna does not say so. 16 samskaras expanded to 40. Who did
it? We are not recalcitrants. But qualified Brahmins not by birth , not by
upanayan, but by character of tolerance; and that tolerance when tested,
tension breaks; has to break. It is not the duty of a student alone but the
duty of a teacher also that he is 100 times better than the student. It is
Biksha vandanam; Guru dakshina; which we offer; Dharmam we do; dhanam=they
do ask, request. That is why today no brahmin or Mutt heads are requesting.
Because we are offering voluntarily; the more guilty we are, the more
Bhakthi. B G never spoke of sradham; Rig vedam does not say shraddha vidhi
which is written as translated by PRR. And Gaya srardham also is not the be
all or end all. Do not bend. They will request it. Vandanam ,
abhivandanam are all Grihastan dharma. I am not writing atheism, but Vedic
self inculcation of a true Brahmin. On the contrary, if you are OK with the
cropped vadhyar and his bla bla, let it be as what you believe is the truth
according to Vedam. Be done with it. As sannyasins parents, Only daughters'
parents will get salvations is certain; so too all. Kumbakonam Rajaveda
patasala, Madhya Kailash adyar and so many places and few Samajams do the
srdham in a different way. Respecting the ancestors is the principle of
the sradham. And Another paradox I found today is, mentioning the arya
samaj of Dayananda saraswati whose name is anathema to their close friend!.
Dayananda Saraswati is perhaps one among the very few, who wrote the hidden
meanings of Rig Vedam which he could not complete as Arabindo also did
