Tharpanam what it really means and Emoto’s unreliable science

Tharpanam means “That offering which satisfies”. TRIPYATE ARPANA:
TARPANA: But what we mean by the word Tharpanam is the offering of water
mixed with gingelly to the manes. (dead ancestors). Though we have several
ancestors, this offering is addressed to three generations of father,
grandfather and great grandfather along with their wives in our family and
maternal grandfather, his father and grandfather along with their wives in
our mothers birth family. Only those whose father is dead are eligible to
do Tharpanam. If maternal grandfather is alive Tharpanam should not be done
for his family but restricted to our family.

“Vasurudra Aadithya swaroopanam asmath Pitru Pitamaha Prappitamaha
aavahayami”.

These devas receive our oblations and make it reach to our manes wherever
they are and in whichever form they are. The pithru loka is supposed to be
on the unseen side of the moon. This portion gets exposed to sun on the new
moon days. It is according to our concept lunch time for the people
populating the pithru loka. These pithrus, since they have left the world
are solely dependent on only their progeny to feed them. This feeding is
done through Tharpanam. It is believed that if Tharpanam is not performed
then the Pithru devas will curse us so that we may not have male
descendants to offer tharpanam to us.

The Sesame seeds are considered to be sacred and it satisfies the hunger
and the thirst of your ancestors. When the sesame seeds are offered to the
dead ancestors along with the water, it slowly reduces the binding
relationship between the dead ancestors and their erstwhile members of the
family. When the bond between the dead ancestors and their family members
are broken, then the departed soul would be ready to make another journey
for a re-birth in another family. Thus, the Sesame seeds act as a catalyst
to break the bond between the living family members and the dead ancestors.

Masaru Emoto was a Japanese businessman, author and
pseudoscientist who claimed that human consciousness could affect the
molecular structure of water

Born: July 22, 1943, Yokohama, Japan

Died: October 17, 2014, Japan

Education: Yokohama City University, Yokohama Municipal University

Written: The Hidden Messages in Water, The secret language of water,

William Reville, professor of biochemistry at University College Cork
writing in the Irish Times, described The Hidden Messages in Water as a work
of pseudoscience, and characterized the book as "an amalgam of science and
mumbo-jumbo" with "no credible hypothesis as to causation, no development
of the idea, no fruitfulness in the concept, and, above all, no clear
scientific demonstration". He concluded by stating that "It is very
unlikely that there is any reality behind Emoto's claims. A triple blind
study of these claims failed to show any effect. Also, the phenomenon he
describes has never been published in a peer reviewed science journal,
which almost certainly means that the effect cannot be demonstrated under
controlled conditions." Physicist Kenneth Libbrecht, an expert on snow, also
saw the book as displaying confirmation bias, joking that "it's good to
have an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out!"

Harriet Hall wrote for the Skeptical Inquirer that the book "holds a place
of honour on my bookshelves *as the worst book* I have ever read. It is
about *as scientific as Alice in Wonderland*. Emoto took pictures of
snowflakes and 'observed' that clean water made prettier crystals. Upon the
book becoming a New York Times Bestseller, literary critic Dwight Garner
wrote in The New York Times Book Review that "it was one of those
'head-scratchers' that made him question the sanity of the reading public."

தர்ப்பணம் TARPANAM

A thought on TARPANAM

The SANSKRIT word TARPANAM means rejoicing. When one
says Tarpayami, it could mean “BE HAPPY”.

 EMOTO, a researcher from Japan

Using positive terms, he observed that the molecules in water were
arranged in a systematic and orderly manner. On the other hand, when
negative terms were applied to the water, he found that the molecules were
disordered.

This research is the foundation of this article.

They say that you should leave more water while doing TARPANAM.

Thus, when we say Tarpayami in front of our ancestors, those words
reach the water molecules. Water evaporates and those molecules mix into
the atmosphere. That is, the thought waves that we have said to be happy
travel in the vortex along with the vaporized water molecules.

Researchers in the field of PARASYCHOLOGY study the state of the
human after death. In that research they believe that after death the
subconscious thought waves become vibrations.

TRANSCENDAL PSYCHOLOGY researchers believe that subconscious thoughts
do not disappear in physical ascetics and travel as vibrations. Researchers
believe that a sense of peace and ecstasy that occurs in our mind, when we
visit the Samadhi of certain sages or their ashrams is due to the
vibrations of their spiritual thoughts.

EMOTO's research leads us to believe that the thought waves that we
repeat to be happy when we say Tarpayami from the water reach into the
water molecules and reach the thought vibrations of our ancestors.

Dharma Shastra says that if one does spiritual things, one's family
will flourish. There is room to believe that by saying BE HAPPY, our
ancestors are not only become happy and congratulating us, but also will
reborn in our family.

Water plays an important role in our rituals because the molecules in
water absorb the word we say. Especially Kumbabhishekam, Sashti Apta
poorthy etc. can be taken as examples.

We are mesmerized to see that this research result; was already
revealed to us by our sages during VEDIC ages by their GNYAN attained
thro TAPAS.

   MASURU EMOTO (22 July 1943- 17 October 2014) was a Japanese businessman;
author and pseudoscientist who claimed that human consciousness could
affect the molecular structure of water. His 2004 book “The Hidden Messages
in Water “was a New York Times best seller.

In his studies, Emoto found that water exposed to positive words and
intentions formed beautiful, symmetrical crystalline structures when the
water was frozen, while water exposed to negative words and intentions
formed disorganized, asymmetrical structures. Water Has Memory!!!!!
Dr. Masaru Emoto's Water Experiment!

Masaru Emoto was a Japanese scientist who found ZamZam water structure
and materials by NANO Technology and Messages of Water. He said that human
consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. Also, he
found water could save events of around it into water memory.
