*Mar*Below is a *carefully edited, refined, and strengthened* version of
your text. I preserved your philosophical voice, ecological urgency, and
poetic metaphors, while improving clarity, coherence, and flow.

If you want it to be *more poetic*, *more academic*, or *shorter*, I can
revise again.

*The Enemy-Mind*

*Revised and Improved Version*
*YM Sarma*

Today, health depends more on the quality of our thoughts than ever before.
But thought itself has become impoverished, because the mind grows lonely
when nature is destroyed. The vast ecological collapse unfolding around us
remains unseen—not because it is small, but because the human eye perceives
only a tiny fraction of total reality. The living world that once
reassured, energized, and sustained us through countless forms of symbiosis
is falling silent. Flora and fauna that once nourished our minds are
vanishing under relentless pressure.

The modern idea of success has shrunk to *economic success*. And today
nearly all economic activity is rooted in the destruction of nature. No
organism breathes happiness in such a world. One of the greatest failures
of our education system is that it teaches nothing about the emotional life
of other beings or the emotional state of the Biosphere itself. Every
discipline has been overtaken by a mechanical paradigm. Even psychology is
reduced to a Newtonian mechanics of behavior, and even religion attempts to
disguise itself as a Cartesian science. In this reduction, the emotional
dimension of life is erased from our understanding.

Economic success can never be real success—the kind that brings genuine
happiness. We pursue economic gain throughout our lives only to end in
anxiety, inner unrest, and a quiet neurosis. Real success lies in the
symbiosis of nature. Happiness emerges only when we live as part of the
ecological web.

Yet today we destroy nature while forcing it into economic subjugation—the
most ruthless domination imaginable. Economics has become a doctrine of
ecocide: the systemic killing of ecology itself, the very structure that
sustains the Biosphere. We cling to the foolish idea that ecological links
can be replaced by mechanized links, that living systems can be “improved”
by artificial control. In doing so, we have turned our own minds into
enemies. The mind, disconnected from the body and from its vast
endocrinology and neurology, spirals into disorder. Our inner hormonal
communications collapse, and we swallow pills to silence the resulting
anxiety and neurosis.

Disease within one organism reflects disease in the larger ecology. There
is micro-health and micro-sickness, but there is also macro-health and
macro-sickness. And our economic system is generating macro-sickness
continuously. In free and healthy nature we naturally feel, sense, and
communicate—through silent intuition—with every other organism. But under
mechanization, the mind becomes mechanical too: anti-ecological,
anti-nature, and inevitably sick.

The only cure is freedom—freedom for nature to regenerate. When nature is
allowed to heal, symbiosis revives on its own. But how does one fight the
enemy that lives inside—the disordered mind? In our alienation, even the
inner sacredness seems to have withdrawn. It is as if God has fled from the
pineal gland, leaving a mechanized force in charge—something Descartes
himself could never have imagined.

It is now the responsibility of every university to restore the study of
Ecology in its deepest sense and to create spaces where nature can exist
without human interference. Only through such sanctuaries of free nature
can the mind rediscover its harmony and allow the sacred to return to its
rightful place within us.

If you want, I can:

   -

refine the language to be more *academic*,
   -

   make it *more poetic*,
   -

turn it into a *speech*, or
   -

simplify it into a *short manifesto*.

Just tell me which form you prefer.
