Didn't realize that the drek that SciFi (no, I will NOT call it by
that other name) puts out sells so well overseas. I see too many
morbidly obese people at work to want to watch it on TV, and the
animal rescue shows just kill me.
With all of the interesting user-provided content on Youtube and the
like you'd think SciFi could find someone to put out a halfway decent
product, even if it is on a shoestring budget. Just look at "Alive in
Joburg" or one of dozens of animated short films out there. If I were
chief there I'd be trolling some of the fine arts schools for some
promising student projects that could be turned into broadcast
content. Starving artists can put out some fine work, too.
