I like Zac Efron, but I think he is much to pretty to be Marty McFly.
Even though Michael J. Fox was a teen heartthrob by the time BttF came
out, he was also incredibly normal-seeming and accessible. I can't
think of very many young stars of this era who have that kind of
everyman appeal, because they're all polished to a high sheen. I think
you'd have to cast a relative unknown. Michael Richards is a good
choice for Dr. Brown, though — even though he'd have to spend the
entire press tour discussing his comedy-routine-gone-wrong.
