I agree with you. RTD is exceptionally weak at closing the deal every year. The bright spot, to make up for that, has at least been the Christmas stories. But mixing the two this year has left me cold. We watched the episode with a fair bit of disdain and meh-ness. At least I have a new way to describe when I'm hungry... It was over-the-top goofy, but it gave me a laugh at Simms' campiness. I'll watch it again just to memorize that bit. :-D Not sure where they plan to go for part two, but I hope it is a reversal in the usual trend you described. Oh, and Dalton continues to rock!
