Thank you for the link Patrick! Very cool. Believe it or not one of my wife's girlfriends does something along those lines here in South Carolina. I think they call it heritage shooting or something. She dresses up in full Western regalia (which for her includes the petticoats and whatnot) to do her shooting.
Amazingly enough for someone who likes Westerns I have never shot a pistol and am not overly into firearms, and haven't ridden a horse since I was a kid. Go figure! Todd, I will check out my local used book shop (Mr. K's in Greenville... great place if you are ever in town) for McMurty. I have never read him so it will be a new experience for me. They have a great selection of Westerns and their prices are reasonable.
