I had been having a ton of problems with my home network. Multiple calls to Comcast resulted in little more than missed time from work. I replaced my router (Time Capsule) but my iMac was still having wireless issues- even my iGoogle home page would time out. Just on a hunch I changed my DNS from Comcast to Google- and the change was profound. Before I rebooted iTunes was timing out during app updates, now everything is just screaming fast. Is it possible that such a simple change could have so much effect on my network speed?
