I will agree that it raises the bar.  Of that there is no doubt.  I have no 
faith in The Dark Knight Rises, but Man Of Steel (for instance) is going to 
have to raise it's game several notches if it wants to compete.
 
To me Iron Man had more heart (no pun intended), but Avengers was the 
bigger spectacle.  So I love them both for different reasons.
 
Avengers was like an old Giant-Size Avengers come to life in front of my 
eyes.  That's the best way I can describe it.
