As far as Iron Man is concerned, I would like to give Jon Favreau the
credit. From what I know about him, he has a small level of geekdom to him
and I believe he wanted to deliver a fanboy movie.
The same for Avengers. I give Joss Whedon the credit because he is a geek.
He knows the Marvel universe being that he has written for them in the
past. I know he is a fanboy and wanted a fanboy movie that would also
appeal to the non-fanboys out there and he hit a homerun.
