The Daniel Craig Bond is a more realistic character. In Casino Royale James
Bond is new to the 00 ranks and hasn't put in the time, he still needs to
be refined, as this line in the movie (delivered by M)
illustrates    "Bond, this may be too much for a blunt instrument to
understand......but arrogance and self-awareness seldom go hand in hand" .
However, what Bond does show in Casino Royale and Quantum is vicious
determination. When he wants "it" he gets/takes it regardless of what is in
his way. After Casino and Quantum, we are starting to see that Bond is
developing more of his 'all-around' skills and now we introduce the
Quartermaster, or Q...and now we see the full fledged Bond persona begin to
take off.
