I completely disagree. I loved the last episode to Quantum Leap. I got into the show at around the end of the second season and after that hardly missed a week in addition to watching the old episodes on USA. It was my favorite show of the time and it was one of the few times that I had a small group of friends that all watched it and then discussed it the next day at lunch. The final episode had nods to the entire series going all the way back to the first episode and I liked that they left it open for more leaps because I wasn't ready for it to be over. The scene where the bartender basically tells Sam that the leaps are going to get harder gets to me every time I see it. And it gave Al a happy ending though not in the Asian massage parlor way.
So I liked it. A lot. Your mileage may vary.
