Have to consider this trading up from Shia LeBouf. I still have not seen
Dark Of The Moon, but from what I understand that was a prety apocalyptic
film, regarding the presence of the Transformers on Earth. Personally, I
would like to see the next installment be set in outer space or an alien
world, both of which are very common settings in TF comics and cartoons,
but I do not think that is going to happen.

At this point, the TF fandom has passed me by, but I do still enjoy buying
the "Legion" class (formerly "Legends" class) toys, which are the modern
equivalent of the classic G1 Mini-Cars. Hasbro really supports this size
with both regular Legion size (which are about 3.75") for "rank and file"
characters such as Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Starscream, as well as Legion
Commander size (which are about 5" tall), representing larger characters
like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ultra Magnus, etc.

At that size and price point, it's relatively easy to build up armies for
both sides, and the toys themselves are fairly easy to transform and not
overly fragile. I have quite decent Autobot and Decepticon forces at this
point, so if my boys want to play TFs when they get a little older, we're
good to go.
