Recommendation for everyone who still has a VCR with VHS: transfer them to digital onto your computer. The devices to do that these days are cheap and easy to use. Those tapes won't last forever. Transferring it to a digital file onto your computer will last many, many more years to come, as long as you have a good backup practice.
