I felt the same way. I’d even run up on my lunch break (the comics store was 
only a few blocks from my hospital) and read them while I ate. The overall 
quality of the books just faded for me; my favorite titles just weren’t fun to 
read after a while. I still love the superhero genre and will happily buy 
stories that are well written and drawn (like Astro City). I think it really 
turned south for me when Marvel was still owned by that investment group and 
was maximizing profit instead of trying to create a good product.
