The similarities go way beyond the characters; it goes to the core concept of the story. Every great comic story line has a core concept: X Men was teenage alienation and angst, Avengers was friendship and the importance of a cohesive group, and the FF was family. That’s what’s been missing from the film adaptions of the FF. Beside the obvious issues of dodgy special effects and bad writing, the creators have ignored what made the FF more than just another superhero group, leading to uninspired and lifeless efforts. Sure, there should be plenty of superhero action, but the core idea of how the loss and realization of the importance of the family unit to each character is what makes it. > On Aug 17, 2015, at 10:00 AM, Michael Bailey <[email protected]> wrote: > > It's weird.
