I get where you are coming from, Mike, but my thinking is that at this
point, the Big Difference between the FF and the other superhero teams is
concept of the Team As A Family. And The Incredibles -- especially in the
back half -- nailed that so perfectly that Fox or Marvel or whomever is
hard pressed to top that in the hearts and minds of John and Jane Moviegoer.

Andy Leyland and Stephen Lacey over on The Fantasticast (ffcast.libsyn.com)
have really turned me onto the high science and adventure aspects of the
team, so I am totally on board with you.

I would devour a Silver Age, Stan-And-Jack Fantastic Four movie with all of
the two-fisted SCIENCE! and kooky cosmic stuff which Jack cooked up in his
sketchbook... but whether that can sell a movie or not is a debate. The
Wholesome Family Who Bickers But Really Loves Each Other And Saves The
World is something which can sell, I think we would agree?

As far as The Incredibles II: Who wants to see that fight teased at the end
of the first one with the Underminer?! I know I do!
