Hello, I search the archives and found a message I sent about the 600 DVD Drives to jog my memory. I ran into this problem and had to buy a newer drive and swap the plastic pieces.
If it is the 600 2x DVD then it does not recognize DVD-R. If it is the 600 6x DVD then it does read DVD-R but has problems with DVD-RW. 73 Eric > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Philip Kiff > Sent: Wednesday, February 17, 2010 9:44 PM > To: 'ThinkPad List' > Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] ThinkPad 600 Optical Drive > > > Simon Royal wrote on February 17, 2010 18:44 (EDT): > > > I took out the original cd drive as it wouldnt even pick up > a Windows > > cd.
