I configured a T400 with similar specs, it comes to $759. Quite a difference, as you point out.
Of course, the t400 is a pound heavier than the T410s, and does not have the i5 processor. All of this would be much easier with a bit of hands on shopping. The X301 (and X201 and X201s) is also intriguing, but at that price I'd certainly want to see one before ordering. The reason I am considering the T410s is because I actually had my hands on one for a day while setting it up, and liked the overall package. Currently my daily laptop is a T61P. Great machine, but it is large and heavy. -Mitch -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Markowitz [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, April 04, 2010 8:57 PM To: Mitchell Leben; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] T410s base model I know the "s" is a better machine, but I have been selling T400s (not "S") retail for $750.
