Hello, No idea if it will help (I don't use the WWAN module in my T61p), but I did find a download for the Verizon WWAN module at:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67954 Interestingly enough, the description says it is for Windows 2000 through Windows 7, including x64. Perhaps installing it will make a difference. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky At 10:00 AM 6/7/2010, you wrote:

I recently "lost" the ability to do searches from the search box (like if I typed "calc", it wouldn't find the calculator application, it just displayed some generic entries like "files"). I don't know if some recently installed software caused this (and it happened once before and is becoming a real annoyance), but I went and reinstalled Windows 7 to get everything working again. When I reinstalled Access Connections and go to "Manage Wireless Radio.", though, only the 802.11 Wireless and Bluetooth radios show up and not the Verizon Wireless WAN (which I do use). All 3 did show up in my previous Windows 7 (64bit) installation, but not in this latest. I am able to use the Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband connection, but I can't manage (power it on and off) it any more. Anyone have any thoughts on getting it to show up? Thanks. -Dan Galender
