Define "best"? For me, the crucial point is the physical size and
number of pixels. 14" 1400x1050 is "best" in this regard (more pixels
require a larger physical screen, making the machine bigger and
heavier).
Of course, the X61 was available in a lightweight 1400x1050 12" screen.
My T60's ATI GPU is always around 70° which I find to be too high, and

"Best screen" is to some extent a matter of personal choice. I've just
moved from 1400x1050 4:3 to 1280x800 16:10 and find new things to hate about
it every day.
