Thanks Chris, is it difficult to take the casing apart? Instructions
anywhere? (I can google but I'd prefer a reputable referral if
possible).

Last time I took batteries to Radio Shack (might have changed to The
Source by then) for "recycling", they just dropped them in the
garbage. My parents have a designated battery "garbage" box in their
condo and I know a couple of people whose offices have them too. I
figure they can't be worse than what RS did and are most likely
better.
