Replacing li-ion cells yourself can be done (I remember seeing some
web-site giving some instructions), but it's a risky business, and it is
not guaranteed to work. Some companies offer to do it for you (google
for "battery refill"). Note that it won't cost you much less than
buying a new third-party battery.
