You could give it a try, but on my experience on older machines and newer
OSs, if you want to run W7 run it with high performance configuration
option, meaning without graphics effects like transparences, shadows, soft
edges, etc. so the processor will have less effort. With the "classic
windows view" (like win98) sould work fine.
