The light for the hard drive comes on for less than three (3) seconds
before going out (is that what might be the issue??). I try to listen
for it to cycle as in a boot up.

I have forgotten to say that this morning (Sunday) my system was on, I
used the blue Fn key + F4 to darken the screen and that was the last
time it was on. I went back to start up again and it would not. Possibly
something in that process did it?
