Thanks for the pointer, but aren't Apple's Air laptops fanless?

Modern CPUs run hot. Your best bet is to underclock, and run a thinkpad
fan control program like http://sourceforge.net/projects/tp4xfancontrol/

Subject: [Thinkpad] Thinkpad quality, but with no fan?

 Hi all,

I've been buying Thinkpads dating back to the 600. My biggest gripe with my most recent, an X61s, is how hot it gets -- and then how loud it gets
when the fan comes on.

I generally get thin/light laptops, preferably with no optical drive.
I've always liked the Thinkpad keyboard and Trackpoint.

Is it possible to get a Thinkpad quality laptop, but with no fan?

Thanks, -Scott
