Just curious, how was the X301 different from X201?

When do new models tend to be announced?

My X301 doesn't get very hot nor do I hear the fan that much (of course, could be my hearing going out after all
those years driving loud race cars :-) ).

It seems like this is a way in which laptops are getting worse. Years ago, my fans would seldom come on, and then turn back off. Now they seem to blow
the whole time -- the the bottom of my laptop gets hot enough to be
uncomfortable.

So the X201 also gets hot and leaves the fan on all the time?

Was the X301 any better?

Thanks to all, I want a cool and quiet laptop! :)
